    Description

    This role has multiple commercial finance support responsibilities which include deal management, price management and gross margin management in support of Institutional division. He/She will partner multiple stakeholders to provide timely analysis and insights including all monthly cadence, ad-hoc Sales profitability reporting; annual budgets including preparation of pricing and GMI playbook; maintenance of rebates calculation/confirmation and fully loaded costs. He/She will also lead variance analysis for monthly/quarterly business reviews as well as execute ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed.

    He/She role will be located in Singapore Nexus office and reports to SEA CF Leader. He/She will lead a team of Financial Analysts and work closely with Institutional | Pest | Paper Sales and Marketing Team, Division/Market Leadership Team and other Market/Region/Global Finance teams.

    Main Responsibilities

    The job specifications for this role are segregated into 3 key areas namely:

    • Deal Management
    • Price Management
    • Gross Margin Management

    DEAL MANAGEMENT

    Drive better deals – more profit, standard payment terms, low risk – while growing the business.

    • To partner with divisions to structure Proposed Contract Authorization From (PCAFs) by obtaining historical sales data for current customers and prospective sales data for new customers to be reviewed.
    • To ensure compliance with deal approval matrix – facilitate PCAF approval process to acquire necessary approvals including from division/market lead, Region CF Lead and Global.
    • To provide Sales data for Ad-hoc requests of annual Sales and rebate payout calculation, work closely with Global and local finance teams for rebate payout communications.
    • To look into sales pipeline and partner with divisions to proactively look out for PCAFs that needs to be developed.
    • To update the PCAFs template with relevant financial metrics such as management rates, fully loaded product costs, price lists, and SG&A rates when necessary bi-annually.

    PRICE MANAGEMENT

    Drive price increase to maximize gross profit while still growing the business; and insulating our business from macroeconomic fluctuations.

    • To support Light and Downstream Divisions in Pricing Increase Exercises through annual pricing plan playbook and monthly operational pricing cadence communications and reporting, also to monitor PI indices and RM Price Increase surcharges that can drive Price Increases.
    • To ensure Price Increase implementation by customer or product is communicated with Local Finance teams.
    • To proactively analyse any anomalies and generate necessary report to FP&A team for monthly business review with management.
    • To participate in monthly business review meetings with SEA Market/Division Lead to discuss on identifying the risks & issues, and put in place relevant action plans / tracking mechanisms to manage these risks & issues.
    • To generate Pricing & Portfolio review files by country to facilitate discussion of pricing tiers and product rationalization strategies.

    GROSS MARGIN MANAGEMENT

    Improve gross margin on existing business.

    • To partner with Sales and Marketing Teams on identifying and tracking Margin Improvement and Innovation projects.
    • To proactively review low margin products/accounts and share with division leaders for further action.
    • To generate necessary report to FP&A team for monthly business review with management.
    • To have monthly meetings with Division Leads/Marketing to review customer profitability and solution penetration opportunities, to discuss on identifying the risks & issues, and put in place relevant action plans / tracking mechanisms to manage these risks & issues.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or other related area.
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in accounting and finance
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    • Prior knowledge on Citrix BI, EPM, and PowerBI will be an added benefit
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic, demonstrated teamwork skills
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload
    • Ability to work and build strong relationships within a highly matrix organization
