Senior Associate, Broking - Terrorism and Political Violence

The Role


You will be responsible for a portfolio of clients and prospects with accountability for retention of clients and new business development.

You will manage and develop clients and Willis Towers Watson relationships and grow the Asia portfolio within the business unit and will be responsible for converting prospects.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting / Advising team with placement queries in the absence of the Team Leader
  • Supporting the Global Broking Team in all aspects of work
  • Client account administration with the goal to retain and develop a profitable terrorism portfolio of accounts, including day to day care of clients' programme in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Capturing and loading market data on Broking Platform and D36
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant products and services offered by WTW
  • Ensure transparency of agency and other commitments made to carriers and clients
  • Supporting Global Broking Team deliver optimization of revenue from new and existing clients using the full range of appropriate placement channels and markets for the specific client segment of the business

The Requirements

  • Preferably educated to a degree, or MBA level (or country equivalent)
  • Preferably with professional qualifications, e.g., ACII or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experience
  • 7 years industry experience either with an insurer or broker, or relevant industry qualifications.
  • Ability to understand a client or prospect's business, situations, opportunities, problems and key issues.
  • Ability to manage relationships and negotiate placement with the Terrorism insurance market.
  • Prepare client and prospect presentations.
  • Independent and selfmotivated individual who consistently strive to deliver the best for WTW's clients.
  • Confident and articulate
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, proficient in Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Excellent communication (written & oral) negotiation and influence skills & interpersonal skills for both facetoface and telephonic contact with clients and Underwriters.
  • Good working knowledge of Market Reform Contracts for Insurance and Reinsurance contracts
  • Attention to detail and time management.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced and dynamic team environment where lateral thinking, initiative, selfmotivation, problem solving, and decisionmaking skills are crucial.
  • Proven track record of delivering high levels of service.
Skilled at building effective relationships, at all levels, with clients, prospects, associates, insurers and external specialists

  • Ability to represent the practice and WTW with integrity and credibility.
