Job Summary:


  • Handle product quality challenges in assigned products to ensure machine reliability and uptime.
  • Analyse data from different sources to identify product quality improvement areas and be a champion for quicker problem resolution.
  • Responsible for providing management inputs on key product quality concerns.

Main Tasks / Responsibilities / Authorities:

  • Obtain machine quality inputs through product specialists / Dealers / Customers / Market Areas to evaluate and prioritize escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Analyse statistical data from Warranty / Case Handling / Connectivity / DMS to ascertain quality trends and work on improvement areas.
  • Secure market support for key quality challenges through campaigns, special commitments and adhoc support activities.
  • Represent in global product uptime and quality meetings and secure buyin towards prioritizing improvement work on product issues.
  • Engage Market Areas / Dealers and provide product quality updates and followup on action items to address product challenges.
  • Provide Region technical support team with updates on product quality, drive field tests to support product improvement process and followup on parts return for Technical Material Analysis.
  • Drive successful new product introduction by providing early quality feedback in EWT/EWM meetings coordinated by global quality functions.
  • Carry out periodic product quality audits and escalate persisting quality concerns, plan and conduct Regional Technical Brush-Up, Secure product quality market communication through Bulletins, handle goodwill requests as per guidelines and followup on A&I cases.

Required knowledge & experience:


1.

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:


  • Degree in Engineering or Equivalent academic qualification
  • Minimum 8~10 years of work experience in a related functional role
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in handling CE equipment technical support or product quality management function.
  • Work experience in Excavator product line will be an added advantage
