    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    Content Creation and Management:

    • Enhance GCMD's reputation through thought leadership content and key messaging
    • Support in content creation, including social media posts and visuals
    • Design, produce and publicise content such as reports, whitepapers, press releases, newsletters, interviews, Q&As, factsheets and annual reports showcasing the centre's work
    • Support in preparing board presentations
    • Maintain and update the centre's website as well as to track engagement activities on the website
    • Ensure consistent use of the center's graphic identity
    • Establish and maintain a photo and illustrations archive

    Event Management and Public Relations:

    • Organise and coordinate virtual, physical and hybrid events
    • Maintain engagement with the centre's communications counterparts and media offices
    • Develop and maintain mailing list for email updates/ publicity outreach
    • Help organise centre-led events
    • Track centre's media coverage

    Research and Communication Support:

    • Support research on talking points for thought leadership pieces around maritime decarbonisation
    • Support in media monitoring to keep the centre abreast of current maritime decarbonisation news

    Other:

    • Assist to track the utilisation of communications budget

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with preferably 5-10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or journalism role
    • Strong writing skills and a good communicator
    • Firm grasp of digital media, with interest to proactively follow real-time developments in the maritime decarbonisation space
    • Great attention to detail
    • Knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools, and techniques in social media
    • Strong multi-tasker who possesses strong initiative
    • Ability to work collaboratively with others and a desire to learn
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
    • Team player, highly motivated, ability to work independently and confidently
