Position Summary:


As a brand-new role within the Global Diversity & Inclusion team, the
Manager, Diversity & Inclusion - Asia-Pacific **will lead the implementation of our Diversity and Inclusion strategy in APAC.

The Manager of Diversity & Inclusion - Asia-Pacific will work in close partnership with the Firm's Chief Diversity Officer, other regional D&I leads, and in conjunction with the Firm's partners responsible for the APAC Diversity Committee, Global Women's Initaitive, HR Director, and other relevant stakeholders in the APAC region, on all activities related to the strategy and execution of diversity and inclusion programs and initiatives.

The Global Diversity and Inclusion team executes Firm strategies related to recruitment, retention and advancement for all attorneys and business services professionals across 44 offices in the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific, in addition to client and business development efforts which are critical to our 2025 strategic plan and beyond.

Duties and Accountabilities:


D&I Strategy, Initatives and Programs

  • In partnership with the Firm's Chief Diversity Officer, lead the development of our D&I strategy in APAC to advance diversity and inclusion across the workforce and develop plans to meet our targets and objectives in alignment with the APAC markets.
  • Implement the Diversity & Inclusion APAC strategic plan, including providing oversight for the regional budget, and ensuring the achievement of measurable objectives.
  • Lead the implementation and further development of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for the Australia offices (Melbourne and Sydney).
  • Communicate and promote the Firm's diversity and inclusion policy, working with the Learning and Development team as necessary, to provide training and guidance within APAC for all attorneys and business services professionals.
  • In partnership with relevant functional teams, manage the rollout of key global initatives such as antiracism training/unconscious bias training and embed across the APAC offices. Ensure meaningful leadership uptake, and provide feedback to vendors, Regional and Global Diversity Committees, Local and Global Women's Initiatives, on the impact and effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Develop and implement mentoring and professional development programs in partnership with the global affinity networks, Learning & Development team and People Advisory colleagues to address diversity needs within the Firm.
  • Work in collaboration with the Recruitment team / HR / HR Partners and Business Services Directors to continue to implement best practice in the Firm's diversity initiative recruitment efforts.
  • Support efforts to strengthen student intake from nontraditional backgrounds. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify bias in recruiting decisions and minimize its impact.
  • In partnership with the Chief Diversity Officer, partner meaningfully with senior leaders throughout APAC.
