    [What the role is]

    The Department of Educational Development (EDU) in Singapore Polytechnic provides expertise for the professional development of academic staff and assist SP in developing strategies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.

    The appointee will work closely with the department management team as well as teaching and learning specialists to develop teaching and learning initiatives, raise the capability of SP staff in the area of teaching and learning and collaborate with various stakeholders to drive the implementation of educational initiatives. The appointee will also work with colleagues to evaluate educational initiatives and measure the educational outcomes.

    [What you will be working on]

    Responsibilities:

    • Be part of the pedagogy team that provides pedagogical expertise and support to Schools and Departments in SP. e.g. design, develop and deliver relevant training programmes for stakeholders
    • Co-ordinate Professional Development programmes with key stakeholders
    • Interpret Institution educational initiatives and educational trends and develop necessary professional development structures
    • Drive the implementation of educational initiatives (e.g. work with stakeholders to implement initiatives)
    • Assist in Educational Research and evaluation of educational initiatives and programmes
    • Engage in pedagogy innovation by co-creating frameworks and models for emerging pedagogical areas e.g. Gen AI for T&L

    [What we are looking for]

    Requirements:

    • At least 4 years' relevant work experience in the field of staff development, academic support and consultancy and Training and Development
    • Applicants with strong IT (MS Office suite of applications) and data analytics skills will have an added advantage
    • Self-driven and independent team-player who is detail-oriented and highly organised
    • Keen learner who displays a positive work attitude
    • Possess strong negotiation, training and project management skills
    • Possess ability to multi-task
    • Versatile, meticulous and energetic individual
    • Display excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

    Successful candidate will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
