    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    · Plan and manage day-to-day operations such as daily fuel inventory, manpower, equipment and vehicles to meet operational taskings.

    · Walk the ground to ensure that the standards on STARS's quality, environmental, occupational, health and safety are adhered to.

    · Perform periodic Customer engagement sessions/meetings on operational, safety, quality, service-related matters.

    · Formulate and vet monthly and safety incident reports.

    · Plan and review training programme to ensure staff are trained to meet job requirements.

    · Create a strong safety culture and conduct periodic review of safety work processes, risk assessment and work instructions.

    · Perform the routine inspection in the depot facility physically for safety and fire hazards and initiate action to correct deficiencies if any.

    · Conduct periodic staff engagements to manage staff-wellbeing, hygiene and work-related issues.

    · Involve in company and authority audits and formulate audit reports and reviews.

    · Plan for courses for staff development.

    · Involve and drive innovation and technology projects.

    · Maintain high degree of housekeeping in all STARS' operational sites so as to provide a conducive and safe working environment.

    · Review the daily operations, stock control, loss /gain monitoring.

    · Investigate operation errors, omissions, losses and report such matters to AGM.

    · Involve in various safety and operation trainings, audits, toolbox meetings, conduct job risk hazard analysis for the smooth and safe operation of the depot facility.

    · Ensure all the necessary work instructions, Standard operating procedures, training materials are updated and provide proper training (O-J-T) to all the operation staff.

    · Act as an Emergency Coordinator at the airbase as per ERP during an emergency.

    · Maintain overview on the serviceability status of STARS' facilities and equipment and to initiate necessary work services (in-house or external agencies).

    · Co-ordinate with customer on maintenance activities and ad hoc project based on contract obligations and customer requirements.

    · Prepare capital and operating departmental budget and carry out a monthly review and take necessary action for controlling the budget.

    · Evaluate tenders based on operation requirement as and when required.

    · Participate in tender by providing ops input.

    · Participate in Continuous Improvement Project.

    Contract Management

    · Ensure that the obligations stipulated within the established contract are met.

    · Oversee customer relations and to maintain close links with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

    · Handle customer complaints swiftly and effectively.

    · Develop comprehensive strategies and solutions to tackle business challenges.

    · Generate or vet monthly reports for both internal and external customers.

    Human Resource and Training

    · Liaise with HR for manpower planning and staffing requirements for STARS's worksites.

    · Interview and assess the potential candidates for the operation team as and when required.

    · Conduct half yearly and yearly performance appraisal on operation employees'.

    · Responsible for staff's career planning and development progress.

    · Ensure timely security clearance of new joint

    · Ensure new joints are trained timely on all the job as per training and authorization system.

    · Ensure proper qualifications / certifications prior to assignment.

    Leadership

    · Provide a clear and strong leadership and motivate the operation team to increase the team's morale as well as individual performance and output.

    · Provide timely decision making on day-to-day operation issues.

    · Hold routine engagement meeting with supervisory and operation staffs to cascade company policy and direction.

    · Strive for excellence through optimizing resources and continuous improvements.

    · Attain operation excellence by reducing delays, re-work, waste, slop and losses.

    · Keep confidentiality in the company business and operational matters.

    Requirements

    · Degree with operation management skills is preferred.

    · Experience with working in the Aviation industry is an added advantage.

    · Knowledge in Power BI or Power Apps is a plus.
