    Position Overview:

    The Sales and Project Manager in a manufacturing industry plays a pivotal role in overseeing both the sales function and project management aspects within the production environment. This role requires a unique blend of sales acumen, project management skills, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Sales Management:

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company targets and expand market share.
    • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities through market research, networking, and relationship building.
    • Manage the sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring timely follow-up and effective communication with prospects.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to establish pricing strategies, negotiate contracts, and resolve customer concerns.
    • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to the management team.

    Project Management:

    • Lead cross-functional project teams to execute manufacturing projects on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
    • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and company goals.
    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Coordinate with internal departments (such as engineering, production, procurement, and logistics) to allocate resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
    • Conduct regular project meetings, communicate project status updates, and manage stakeholder expectations.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols throughout the project execution process.

    Customer Relationship Management:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, addressing inquiries, managing expectations, and fostering long-term relationships.
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback, and incorporate insights into product development and service enhancements.
    • Anticipate customer needs and proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services.
    • Handle customer complaints or escalations promptly and effectively, seeking resolutions that uphold the company's reputation and customer satisfaction.

    Continuous Improvement:

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize resource utilization.
    • Analyze sales and project performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
    • Implement best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance sales effectiveness and project management capabilities.
    • Provide training, guidance, and support to sales and project teams to foster professional development and enhance overall performance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field; MBA or PMP certification is a plus.
    • Proven experience in sales management and project management roles within the manufacturing industry, with a track record of achieving sales targets and delivering successful projects.
    • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and supply chain management.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
    • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making.
