- Data Center Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of data center facilities, ensuring 24/7 uptime.
- Monitor and maintain environmental systems, power distribution, and cooling infrastructure.
- Manage equipment installation, maintenance, and decommissioning.
- Implement and maintain strict security protocols for physical access and data protection.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of technicians and engineers.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide coaching and mentoring.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Infrastructure Optimization:
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize data center infrastructure, including space, power, and cooling.
- Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
- Manage capacity planning to accommodate future growth and technology upgrades.
- Vendor and Budget Management:
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely equipment procurement and service contracts.
- Prepare and manage the data center budget, including cost tracking and forecasting.
- Negotiate vendor agreements to obtain favorable terms and pricing.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
- Develop and regularly test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Continue to improve backup and recovery solutions to safeguard critical data and applications.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to data center operations and implement mitigation strategies.
- Establish and enforce safety protocols to protect personnel and equipment.
- Fiber Network Infrastructure:
- Plan and manage Fiber network infrastructure and Structured cabling infrastructure capacity to meet current and future port developments.
- SAN and Backup Operation:
- Manage common services, eg: SAN, and Backup Operations with a team of trained engineers.
- Possess bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in data center operations and system infrastructure support with significant number of years in managing roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Possess budgeting and financial management experience.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
