Green Light is working with a Global Technology Company to provide energetic, Data Centre Engineers with expereince in Storage equipment and Storage Administration tools.
Day to day activities.
This is a hybrid role with the work taking place across Singapore in multiple different data centres and offices. The work will include install, adds, moves and changes mostly within data centres. Experience working with storage systems will be an advantage, though anyone with experience working in data centres is eligible.
Hardware rack and stack is part of the role so a basic level of fitness and ability to carry and lift equipment is required.
Engineers will also be expected to be able to carry out firmware upgrades, software patches, physical cabling and have familiarity with using patching diagrams (including drawing them) and using logical labelling and neat and tidy cable management within racks.
Storage Admin experience is required with knowledge of PowerMax, vMax, Isilong, ECS from the Dell EMC storage products range - this is an essential piece - they must have some experience in these Storage Admin.
Useful skills / experience
- Circa 3 years of experience in Data Centre / Enterprise IT Ops.
- Knowledge and experience in Data Centres and Storage / Servers.
- PowerMax, vMax, Isilong, ECS at least 6 months experience in using these.
- Experience in rack and stack of IT equipment.
- Structured cabling knowledge and experience.
- Team player, good positive mindset & a good interpersonal relationship builder.
