Job Opportunity:
lower middle market private equity - Entry Level Role


Location:
Remote; possibly overseas in the long-run. Expectation to overlap 3 hours minimum per day with EST & PST timezones.


Company Overview:

We are a small unorthodox private equity firm. Unlike a traditional private equity firm, we will acquire one business at a time and operate it upon acquisition.

We're a team of founders and operators who have built startups, scaled companies to billion dollar plus valuations and gone through IPOs.

You will be working directly for the founders and exposed to:

• Live M&A deals
• Interactions with brokers, accountants, attorneys, C-Suite, and business owners.
• Due diligence and negotiations of various sorts everyday.

We are looking for an associate to help manage our multi-stage high volume deal funnel in the most efficient way possible.

What Will You Do?:


Work will primarily include:

• Finding potential businesses to acquire. This includes listing out owner contact information, years of establishment, and estimating revenues and profits of the potential business.
• Helping us source deals that match our investment criteria
• Due diligence and research by cold calling customers, prospects, and competition to evaluate businesses

Work will not include:

• Financial modeling (we do some of this, but very light)
• Sophisticated analyses
• Anything that you or anyone else thinks is a waste of time

Who Are You?:

• Someone who is HUNGRY and EAGER to learn A LOT
• Common sense and ability to think independently
• Keen interest in business and entrepreneurship (else you'll hate this)
• Comfort with chaos
• Low ego, nothing is "beneath" for you to do
• Able to work a minimum of 5060 hours a week (this is not for the faint of heart, you will be working long hours)

We will provide letters of recommendations as well as introductions to anyone in startups, venture capital, banks, and other private equity firms, etcshould you perform well.

We will also help you with recruiting, interviewing, and career advice should you be interested in.

This job is not for the faint of heart, it will be chaotic, it will be difficult. However, you will learn more here in 6 months than you will in 2 years anywhere else.
