We are looking for a highly motivated Research Associate to join our team focusing on the Consumer sector.

You would be part of this growing team and responsible for supporting research analysts in the Consumer sector generating insights, constructing data analysis, and conducting investment research with a focus on Consumer Goods.

This includes performing high level equity analysis across companies and industries as well as specific Consumer sector and market analysis.

This analysis will be based on external and internal Bloomberg data sets, such as financial data and detailed industry data, as well as company filings, excel models and news releases and presentations.

You will be entrusted to deliver high quality and timely content while also growing our data offering.

We'll trust you to:

Contribute to the team's daily research activities (i.e. data, written research, idea generation) to analyze consumer companies in terms of evolving consumer demand, supply chain management, regulatory changes and profitability
Monitor, interpret and react to major company developments, and identify macro themes and trends related to APAC consumer sector, industry standards and potential innovation on products and services
Handle earnings cycle, including previews and reviews
Build and maintain relationships with investors, industry and market professionals, investor relations personnel, and senior management at target companies
Participate and initiate marketing events like seminars, webinars, roundtables and conferences to commercialize research ideas
Work with Global Data teams to ensure data completeness and quality control for existing and new data sets of target companies

You'll need to have:

At least 2 years of equity research experience
Experience in a sellside or buyside research analysis role
Experience interpreting financial statements and building financial models
Bachelor's degree, preferably with a concentration in Finance
A proactive, entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset being able to work well in teams across borders
Fluency in both spoken and written English
Strong organization skills, and capable of prioritizing multiple projects
Attention to detail, research and analytical skills with excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation

We'd love to see:

CFA, Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, MBA, or related field
Solid understanding of Financial Macro Development and knowledge of Python, SQL or VBA
