Roles & Responsibilities

MIT SG Pte Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Fermentation Specialist, in the field of food and agriculture. As a leading company in the agricultural industry, we are dedicated to developing innovative solutions that promote sustainable and efficient farming practices.

Location: Singapore & Project site in Malaysia, China

Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize fermentation processes for the production of bio-functional ingredient product for food and agriculture application.

Conduct research and experiments to improve fermentation performance, yield, and quality of the finish products.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale up fermentation processes from lab to pilot plant and commercial production.

Provide technical expertise on fermentation and bio-application processes to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the food and agricultural market by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive growth and expand our product portfolio.

Build and maintain relationships with key customers, industry partners, and research institutions to foster collaborations and drive business development initiatives.

Stay updated on the latest advancements in fermentation technologies, bio-application techniques, and agricultural practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Prepare and deliver technical presentations, reports, and proposals to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Biochemical Engineering. A Ph.D. is a plus.

Proven experience in Enzyme technologis, fermentation process development and optimization, preferably in the food and agricultural or biotechnology industry.

Strong knowledge of microbial fermentation, including strain selection, media optimization, and downstream processing, finish product application.

Familiarity with bio-application techniques and their implementation in the food and agricultural sector.

Demonstrated business development experience, including market analysis, opportunity identification, and strategic planning.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot fermentation-related issues and propose innovative solutions.

Ability to work independently, manages multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
