Job Summary:


The Lead Sales and Operations Planning role is responsible for providing leadership using an influential leadership style with global Sales and Operations Planning for motorcycles / parts and accessories / apparel and licensing.

This position will lead project teams through the coordination and development of the integrated worldwide retail and wholesale forecasts, distribution center inventory management and sales program development to maximize volume and profitability growth on a worldwide basis.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead, develop and improve Sales & Operations Planning processes, standardization of work, planning calendars, performance & process metrics, meetings, presentations, after action reviews (AAR), Excel spreadsheets, especially as these items relate to the Sales & Operations Planning 5 Step Process (data gathering, demand planning, supply planning, preSales & Operations Planning meeting and Executive Sales & Operations Planning meeting)
  • Develop processes to ensure alignment to optimize sales and inventory levels in conjunction with worldwide sales and finance objectives and strategies, oversee inventory levels in all distribution centers across Asia Pacific.
  • Develop and implement best practices and metrics to increase and show the health of Sales & Operations Planning as a process.
  • Help markets to achieve their monthly and annual wholesale P&A targets by providing insights on their performance, developing sales programs (with related tools) and working with supply chain to ensure smooth supply flow.
  • Lead new product forecasting and collaborate with markets to obtain their inputs.
  • Manage new product launches including coordinating product compliance reviews, market blocks, field briefings, dealer communications, setting up ordering system, achieving show targets, reviewing forecasts.
  • Slow moving and obsolete inventory management. This includes programs to sell out stock and scrap coordination.
  • Assist Operations and Field teams on product and fitment related inquiries.
  • Ensure smooth and undisrupted supply of key P&A products, i.e. engine oil.
  • Support markets on backorders and expedite fulfillment.
  • Help markets to plan and ensure inventory for their P&A promotions.
  • Work with regional and global pricing teams on competitive pricing analysis.

Experience Requirements:


Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management of forecasting leadership with project management, meeting facilitation and business process development experience.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and ability to analyze data on a problemtosolution level and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Ability to present key data to markets and leadership.
  • Good collaboration skills with other stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience with change management.
  • Motorcycle, Parts & Accessories, Apparel and Licensing product knowledge.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Experience with SO99 or similar planning and forecasting tools.
