Global Outsourced Procurement manage and develop our Manufacturing Partners from a contractual perspective with an engagement and support from cross-functional teams and key stakeholders (Operations, Planning & Logistics, Global Procurement, Finance etc.)About the roleThe Head of Global Outsourced Procurement will lead a team and be responsible for contract management, cost and claim negotiation with our suppliers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our manufacturing partners are performing effectively and efficiently.

Build, maintain and manage the relationship between Dyson and our suppliersIntroduce our supplier management into our outsourced operations and expand collaborationBe the liaison with our NPI teams based in the UK and work closely with RDD teamsManage, communicate, and drive regular and or ad-hoc internal cadence meetings with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Engineering, Project and Technical teams and ensure objectives are achieved that are in-line with Dyson's best interestsCollaborating with internal stakeholders on projects and lead the standardization ways of working, establish rules of engagementManage, communicate, and drive any regular and / or ad-hoc tasks with the supplier partners and ensure satisfactory objectives are achieved before deadlineProvide strategic advice to the management team so proper business and operational decisions can be madeDriving cost negotiations on product cost, cost savings per contract, cost optimizations, and able to deliver a good result of cost savings vs targetsDriving commercial contract negotiations, revisions for new Tier 1 suppliers as well as existing suppliersTasks, issues, claims, communications are completed within the given timeframe, while achieving the objectivesAbility to work in a fast paced ever changing environment to deliver optimal solutions at prescribed time frameDemonstrated leadership by providing meaningful resolutions, foresee potential issues and guide both internal and external parties in resolving these issuesManagement of both external and internal relationships, being the first point of escalation on tier 1 supplier management from cross-functional teamsTeam player with motivation and willingness to go above and beyond your scope of workPeople Developer, at Dyson we believe that everyone is a key component in the team, and we continue to develop people even as we deliver programsAbout youDegree in Engineering with at least 15 years' experience within the procurement functionStrong commercial background within a Manufacturing/ Engineering environmentExperienced in dealing with EMS/CM vendorsAdvantageous if you have experience in Cost Management; involving optimizing all costs associated with services provided by Tier 1 suppliers throughout the product lifecycleProfound understanding and experience of Global procurement & legal regulationsExcellent communicator; able to present update and challengers in a clear and concise manner.

In a spoken, written, and presentation settingExcellent problem-solving skills that could be applied is various settingsCapable in planning and project managementStrong business acumen, excellent data analytics skillsComfortable with a fast-paced and intellectually challenging work environment, being resilient and able to handle pressure
