    Roles & Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Achieve category sales, profit and income goals through objectives with developing and implementing strategic business plans for the assigned categories
    • Responsible for Open-To-Buy
    • Compile and submit all necessary sales, inventory, forecasts, budgets, etc
    • Sourcing, product development, category planning, implementation of marketing activities and maintain operational standards by utilizing by utilizing effective merchandising guidelines
    • Develop, implement and manage on optimum product mix that focuses in customers' needs
    • Develop and implement promotional plans that can bring incremental sale to the stores
    • Develop and implement placement and planogram strategies to improve category turnovers and positively influence customer shopping behaviour
    • Develop and implement a competitive pricing strategy that delivers value to our customers
    • Establish collaborative retailer/supplier relationships to maximise income/terms/discounts to improve sales and profitability of category
    • Achieve reduction in shrink budget objectives through disciplined buying and inventory management processes
    • Co-ordinating necessary follow up actions with suppliers on order confirmation, shipment and actual receipts of all merchandise
    • Manage E-commerce business
    • Attend trade shows and source for new brands/items/products
    • Manage the performance of the tram giving regular feedback and addressing poor performance and solutions for improvements
    • Provide training and development for retail staff
    • Ensure effective communication at all levels, including the Company/Divisional/Departmental strategy in addition to operational priorities
    • Twice per week full day store visits and meetings with front-end staff to touch on Visual Merchandising, gather products feedbacks and to better understand customer needs and wants
    • Other ad-hoc duties and when assigned by the management
