    Description
    The School Health and Outreach Division is responsible for establishing supportive health promoting environments and policies, implementing programmes and engaging key stakeholders such as educational institutions, youths, educators, parents and other public agencies to ensure that children and youth in Singapore are in optimal health for holistic growth, learning and development. Child and youth health areas of interest include nutrition, physical activity, mental wellness, tobacco control, communicable diseases and HIV/AIDS prevention.

    The Education Institutions Department drives the growth of meaningful and successful partnerships with the schools, planning and implementing health promotion programmes to nudge children and youths towards healthy. The team is also entrusted to build good ground understanding of the schools, analyse the needs, develop creative approaches and programmes, manage key relationships to increase mindshare for health promotion, and efficiently organise resources to implement, review and improve HPB programmes.

    As a Manager, the job responsibilities include (but not limited to):

    • Review and strengthen suitable outreach engagement strategies to heighten the children and youth's awareness on a range of health issues with relevant and meaningful student-centric propositions.
    • Forge effective and valuable partnerships with relevant stakeholders and industry to grow mindshare in promoting health promotion programmes among educational institutions including pre-schools, mainstream schools, Institutes of Higher Learning, Arts and Sports schools, Special Needs schools and Student Care Centres.
    • Gather ground intelligence and analyse health data to identify relevant needs of the schools to influence and strengthen evidence-based programming. Through this, to leverage trends and opportunities for growth areas that can further contribute to HPB's mission and develop strategies to direct resources and efforts towards such areas.
    • Manage multiple concurrent project implementation, ensuring clear project planning and commitment by partners, timely and efficient execution, and effective continuous improvement in achieving optimal programme performance management.

    Job Requirements:

    • At least three years of relevant working experience in working in engaging children/youth in education settings, preferably in project and account management with multiple and concurrent projects.
    • Strong problem solving, networking, negotiating, and influencing skills, with track record of successful engagement with varied stakeholders.
    • Possess acumen to strive for excellence and comfortable with change and ambiguity by being positively motivated, bold, dynamic, and future-oriented.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, and to lead/participate in peer/matrix teams where required.
