Support the Underwriters in the region in all tasks related to the underwriting and administration support.Work closely with our Underwriters supporting them in their activities associated with renewals, maintenance of the accounts and on models and systems. Assist the team in data quality assurance and continuous development of best practice in Business Services.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

·Underwriting under guidance (within limits); preparing individual cases for pricing and modelling, liaising with underwriters and actuaries to deliver technical pricing to customers; using company pricing model tools to aid the underwriting process; including assessing the nature of cargo, transportation methods and potential hazards.

·Analyze data related to cargo shipments, loss history and markets trends to assist in making informed underwriting decisions; Conducting pre-underwriting for renewals, handling endorsements on active business, following up on renewals.

·Assist in the preparation of insurance policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines

·Maintain accurate records of underwriting activities, policy document, endorsements and correspondence in accordance with company policies and procedures.

·Assist the Cargo Line of Business in expanding their portfolio of business while developing the necessary skill sets and defined authority to accept risk in underwriting of a profitable account.

·Understand the strategy and financial targets of AXA XL Insurance and those applicable to the cargo line of business. You will be set appropriate individual targets and goals that support delivery of the business plan.

·Attending internal and external meetings with clients and brokers and internal training whenever required

You will report to the Underwriting Manager.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

·Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the relevant class of business.

·Previous experience in underwriting, insurance or related fields is preferred

·Detail-oriented with high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation

·Strong analytical skills – with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound underwriting decisions.

·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with brokers, clients and colleagues to support profitable business growth over a defined period.

·Industry Knowledge - understanding of the insurance industry and specific product portfolios to positively impact the underwriting business.
