    Description
    You will be part of the team in the People's Association (PA) Communications Group that will drive the growth of communications capabilities in PA. You will assist to design and implement processes, systems, and engagement opportunities for PA officers, grassroots leaders, and volunteers with communications-related roles.

    Key duties and responsibilities that need to be performed to meet the primary objective of the job.

    1. Assist in strengthening the comms function in PA:

  • Support the recruitment of suitable candidates to be communications practitioners
  • Compile and analyse the recruitment data, competencies, training/ experience and current responsibilities of PA communications practitioners (staff and volunteers).
  • Work with stakeholders to support the planning and implementation of various engagement programmes to orientate and align staff and volunteers to their communications roles and responsibilities
  • Support the sharing and managing of knowledge and information of the comms functions in PA
  • 2. Assist in the development of systems and resources to enhance the operational effectiveness of the communications teams in PA units

  • Assist the implementation of work processes, competency frameworks, training roadmaps and performance metrics to strengthen PA's communications function in PA divisions
  • Maintain an up-to-date repository of useful resources including SOPs, templates, playbooks, to be assessed by PA comms practitioners
  • Manage access of repository to staff members
  • 3. Assist to produce internal communications materials to engage PA comms officers.

  • Work with the team to design attractive internal comms materials including EDMs, newsletters to communicate regularly with PA's comms officers and volunteers.
  • Develop a system to record stories of PA comms officers efforts in the community.
  • 3. Other duties

  • Monitor project expenditure and prepare utilization reports.
  • Assist in the procurement of required services, e.g training, resource development
  • Assist in preparing reports to update management and stakeholders
  • Perform tasks as assigned
  • Knowledge & Skills

  • At least one year's relevant working experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to craft and effectively convey messages
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends and provide insights
  • Good inter-personal skills for working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Flexible and adaptable to work environment
  • Proficiency in English and knowledge of 2nd language (Chinese, Malay, Tamil)

    Successful candidates will be given a 3-year contract.
