Oversee the company's legal filing system. Suggest improvements and manage files on an ongoing basis

Manage the legal and compliance portfolio of Singapore.
Develop, review and/or improve upon standard templates for key legal documents for company wide access.
Support offices by reviewing, supporting negotiations, and when appropriate, approving key client and supplier contracts.
Coordinate the development, revision and compliance of the company's policies and procedures with all applicable laws and regulations.
Assist in the areas of risk management including review of insurance coverage and internal audit, as may be required.
Provides management with advice and counsel regarding legal issues impacting the company's functional areas.
Individually, or along with external legal counsel when appropriate, write/review contracts and file and respond to lawsuits.
Undertake a complete review of all company subsidiary Corporate Secretarial documents. Establish an appropriate cataloguing, filing and tacking system to ensure files are available, accessible and updated according to statute or as needed.
Manages the company's intellectual property.

Qualifications

Masters degree from an accredited law school.
Excellent spoken and written English.
More than 10 years working experience, either in legal practice or in the legal department of a private company or local or national government.
