    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Organize & conduct EHS kick off meeting prior vessel arrival
    • To assist Engineer (EHS) & Manager (EHS) in the implementation, review and improvement of yard's Safety Management System to maintain a safe and healthy working environment in the yard and project.
    • Assist SRM/PM to monitor & control inherent hazards prior work commencement
    • Perform hotwork & hazardous works certification
    • Assist SRM to organize VSCC meeting (Acts as Secretary)
    • Maintain project EHS related record
    • Coordinate the PTW system implementation
    • Coordinate confined space attendants' deployment
    • Coordinate fire watchmen deployment
    • Update vessel safety coordination board
    • Coordinate & inspect fire fighting & rescue equipment deployed on vessels
    • Drive the implementation of project EHS plan
    • Drive the implementation of project accident prevention activities
    • Drive the implementation of project risk management
    • Investigate accident/incident & near misses
    • Undertake performance appraisal of CSAs
    • To enforce on compliance of all HSE related legislations.
    • To assist the Engineer (EHS) & Manager (EHS) in establishing responsibility levels for hot work Assessor and confine space Assessor
    • Undertake other tasks as directed by the Engineer (EHS) & Manager (EHS)

    Requirements:

    • Diploma/Degree related to EHS or any Engineering fields
    • Possess Hotwork Assessor Certification & Confined Space Assessor Certification are added advantage
    • Good understanding of Workplace Safety & Health Act & Shipbuilding & Ship Repairs regulation
    • Good report writing & incident investigation & analytical skills
    • Possess strong leadership & interpersonal skill
    • Proficient in MS Office for reporting and presentation purpose

    Other Information:

    • Location: Tuas (Island-wide transport provided)
    • 5 days work week
    • Working Hours: 7.25am to 5.00pm
