Responsibilities:

Sample Development

  • Collaborate with design and production teams to understand customer requirements and trends.
  • Develop product samples, ensuring alignment with customers' specifications and quality standards.
  • Obtain samples and coordinate with fabric inspection teams to carry out the quality checks as per customer standards to confirm the acceptability.

Order Management

  • Receive and review customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with the production planning team to schedule and allocate resources effectively.
  • Monitor order progress, and identify and address potential delays or issues.
  • Initiate new product developments to suit customer specifications, through customer understanding and exposure to global trends.

Liaison with Internal & External Stakeholders

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to oversee relevant operational and business developmentrelated areas.
  • Analyze global markets, competitors, and products to identify prospective customers.
  • Build and develop relations with potential and new customers.

Quality Control & Costing

  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve product quality issues.
  • Prepare analysis for products, considering materials, and overheads

Reporting & Analytics

  • Regularly communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to provide updates on order status.
  • Prepare management reports to facilitate decisionmaking and production planning/control purposes.
Job Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or a related field

Experience

  • 35 years of proven experience in a similar role within the apparel manufacturing industry.

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of industry norms and standards.
  • Knowledge of various fabrics and trims.
  • Knowledge of the methods of assessing suppliers.
  • Sound knowledge of SMV and proven experience as a Merchandiser in the RMG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of garment production processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
