    Description
    • This position is for Centre for Research on Successful Ageing (ROSA).
    • Assist in finance functions of the Centre, ensuring that there is compliance to university policies:
    • Coordinate procurement requirements, raise the purchase orders and seek approvals for payment.
    • Ensure that the Centre's monthly expenditure from various funds are accurate and documented.
    • Distribute and track physical and RedeemSG digital vouchers issued to survey respondents.
    • Ensure that the fixed asset listing is maintained and accounted for
      •Assist with annual budget preparation.
    • Assist with the operational aspects of the research study for quarterly and ad-hoc waves of survey:
    • Implementation of research by ensuring quality control procedures are adhered to (e.g. preparing IRB modifications, monitoring daily response rates)
    • Answer emails and calls from respondents and addressing their queries in a timely manner
    • Oversee the translation process of the survey questions and assigning translation tasks to student assistants.
    • Prepare survey completion data for letter and voucher processing, which includes mailing of in-house letters to respondents.
    • Plan outreach events to showcase ROSA's research and engagement of the Singapore Life Panel:
    • Work with external vendors and internal departments to organise internal and external events, e.g. Annual ROSA symposium, academic workshops, seminars, round table and conferences.
    • Assist the Research Panel Manager with organising focus group discussion sessions.
    • Communicate with researchers, funding agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate research activities (e.g. organising meetings, seeking information about pending research topics/journal articles).
    • Grant and report writing:
    • Assist with the preparation of annual grant/donor reports which documents the Centre's achievements.
    • Track media coverage of ROSA's research.
    • Assist with new grant applications.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree with 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
    • Ability to balance numerous tasks simultaneously and is organised.
    • Ability to work cohesively and effectively in a team setting.
    • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word Powerpoint).
    • Meticulous with numbers and book-keeping.
    • Familiarity with survey research processes.
    • Experience in organising large scale events.
    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • Working proficiency in another language (Chinese, Malay, or Tamil) will be beneficial.
