We are representing a global Automotive Tier 1 Supplier (MNC) who has a huge R&D presence in Singapore in recruiting.

Engineer, Wireless RF System Design

Job Description

• Engage in activities related to defining wireless RF system concepts and developing RF standards.
• Document RF system specifications and requirements using applications like Microsoft Word and DOORS.
• Conduct technical presentations and engage in discussions with both internal and external stakeholders regarding wireless applications.
• Assist product certification and homologation teams by providing expertise on wireless RF-related physical layer specifications.
• Integrate RF components into product systems at both the product level and within the vehicle application environment using tools like CANOE and RF Development Benches.
• Manage RF-related vehicle validation measurements, coordinate validation efforts with customers and internal contacts, create reports, and deliver customer presentations.
• Coordinate all wireless and RF-related development tasks across projects, disciplines, and different locations.

Requirement.

• Minimum Master or Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronics/RF/Wireless Engineering or its equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience in RF development and measurement is essential. An additional year of experience within the automotive industry would be advantageous.
• Demonstrating advanced knowledge and practical experience in areas such as radio frequency system understanding, electromagnetic theory, RF simulation, radio communication standards, RF design validation, and RF homologation.
• Well-versed in RF measurement techniques and equipment, including RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and instrument control software.
• Possessing experience and knowledge related to RF system design and estimating link budgets.
• Collaborating with the software team to handle RF design and optimization tasks.
• Proficiently simulating RF circuits and layouts using tools like ADS Pathwave. Additionally, conducting RF data analysis using MATLAB and Excel.
• Understanding and applying principles related to design for reliability and analyzing failure modes and effects.
• Being able to manage high workload situations under time pressure and effectively communicate technical content in a structured manner.
• Experience working with international team members is valuable.
