There will be opportunities to develop the curriculum, introduce new courses as well as be involve in consultancy and other applied research projects.

Administrative work related to teaching and School/Institutional strategic initiatives will be an important part of the job too. The appointee will be expected to be resourceful, adaptable, team-player and pro-active with good communication skills.

Robotics and automation
Programmable Logic Controller
2D/3D Computeraided drafting
C/C++ or Python Programming

_ Responsibilities_

Develop and conduct lessons, tutorials and laboratory sessions to internal stakeholders, students (young adults and adult learners) and industry personnel through effective learning activities
Keep abreast of current and future development and trends in manufacturing sector, so as to maintain relevant and uptodate teaching curriculum. This includes a review of existing curriculum to make recommendations on areas of improvements that would enhance students' performance, learning and employability
Provide mentorship and pastoral care for students
Engage and collaborate with industry proactively to enhance students' learning through activities such as industry learning journeys, studentindustry projects, internship program as well as to build capability building in strategic areas
Provide administrative support in the running of the diploma course and general school operations

_ Requirements_

Relevant tertiary qualification in the field of Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronic or equivalent.
Relevant skillsets/knowledge in the area of mechatronics, manufacturing, automation, i4.0 technologies and robotics.
Confidence and competent in collaboration with industry
Peopleoriented individual with strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
Selfdriven, independent and possess readiness to work as a team
Passionate about education and possess strong interest in teaching and mentoring both young adults and adult learners
