What the role is

  • You will be part of the Visitor Management & Security branch of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, which is the public fronting unit that provides a safe and pleasant experience for visitors. The Branch also works closely with various stakeholders, tenants, volunteers, contractors and security/visitor services personnel to ensure that the Gardens is carried out according to prescribed service standards.

What you will be working on

  • Job responsibilities includes:
  • Support the Manager in the daily deployment of security/visitor services personnel
  • Carrying out of the daytoday Visitor Services operations in the Gardens
  • Ensure operational resources are kept updated
  • Manage the wayfinding aids, such as directional signages
  • Manage volunteers, including conducting free guided tours
  • Manage and attend to visitor feedback/queries received via various channels
  • Assisting in the coordination of visits/events
  • Ensure all operational/ground issues and emergencies are attended to promptly
  • Perform administrative duties such as procurement, contract management, report and filings
  • Any other adhoc duties as assigned

What we are looking for

  • Requirements:
  • Experienced in customer service, hospitality or related fields
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and must enjoy working with people
  • Resourceful and dynamic with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Creative, adaptable and able to work in a fastpaced environment
  • A good team player
  • Occasionally need to work staggered hours, weekends and public holidays
