Assistant/visitor Services - Singapore - National Parks Board

What the role is
- You will be part of the Visitor Management & Security branch of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, which is the public fronting unit that provides a safe and pleasant experience for visitors. The Branch also works closely with various stakeholders, tenants, volunteers, contractors and security/visitor services personnel to ensure that the Gardens is carried out according to prescribed service standards.
What you will be working on
- Job responsibilities includes:
- Support the Manager in the daily deployment of security/visitor services personnel
- Carrying out of the daytoday Visitor Services operations in the Gardens
- Ensure operational resources are kept updated
- Manage the wayfinding aids, such as directional signages
- Manage volunteers, including conducting free guided tours
- Manage and attend to visitor feedback/queries received via various channels
- Assisting in the coordination of visits/events
- Ensure all operational/ground issues and emergencies are attended to promptly
- Perform administrative duties such as procurement, contract management, report and filings
- Any other adhoc duties as assigned
What we are looking for
- Requirements:
- Experienced in customer service, hospitality or related fields
- Possess good interpersonal skills and must enjoy working with people
- Resourceful and dynamic with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative, adaptable and able to work in a fastpaced environment
- A good team player
- Occasionally need to work staggered hours, weekends and public holidays
