DBA job description:

We are looking for an experienced (Oracle / MS SQL) DBA to join our team As a DBA, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems

DBA duties and responsibilities:

Ø Manage Oracle / SQL Server databases

Ø Configure and maintain database servers and processes

Ø Monitor system's health and performance

Ø Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security

Ø Analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time

Ø Provide suggestions for solutions

Ø Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes

Ø Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement

Ø Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems

Ø Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours

DBA requirements and qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience either as a SQL Server DBA or as an Oracle DBA or similar role with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Minimum 5 years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Oracle / SQL Server
Having Experience on AWS RDS will be a plus.
