Purpose and Scope

• To carry preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance
• To be able to assist colleagues when necessary

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Electrical Technician will be the focal point to coordinate between customer and internal stakeholders (CCR liaising, taking permit, etc) for maintenance and rectification works. The major responsibilities are

• Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Advising management on continued use of unsuitable equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Carryout maintenance, repair and installation of building circuits, fire protection systems and similar equipment
• Prepare reports, maintain records and requisition supplies and parts Inspect and supervise work done by external vendors
• Assist/Support Instrument and Control works

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma//Degree in Engineering or any other discipline related to process industry
• 1~2 years for Degree holders or 3 - 5 yrs related working experience for Diploma holders
• Hands on experience
• Class 3 Driving license

Skills/competencies & Preferred Characteristics

• Knowledgeable on electrical matters. Able to read the Plant P&I diagram.
• Pleasant personality, approachable and has good customer relation skills
• Ability to build rapport with external and internal colleague
• Strong in verbal and written communication
• Is a self driver & has strong initiative to work with team with analytical skill
• Good organizing & time management skills
