The Role
During the COVID-19 pandemic, business for many industries and companies were disrupted.

As the COVID-19 pandemic market shifts to a normal endemic market, Moderna is in a unique position to enable large corporations to provide healthcare security to their employees through direct purchase of vaccines.

The Sr.

Director, Employer Partnerships-Asia Pacific, will establish a new channel that enables corporations to purchase and provide early to vaccines directly from Moderna.

This will initially include the COVID-19 vaccine but over time will include the other respiratory vaccines. Respiratory infections, preventable through vaccination results in significant illness and time from work.


This will be a new business channel for Moderna, but also an innovative manner of B2B contracting for the pharma and healthcare industry.

This leader will be responsible and accountable for executing a new customer engagement model and contracting with corporations which will that enables them to provide direct access to preventative measures for respiratory diseases.

The role provides an opportunity to disrupt and create a shift in how a biotech can provide more direct access to vaccines and eventually therapeutics.

The Sr.

Director, Employer Partnerships, will be a key member of the Emerging Markets regional team and will be based in Singapore.

Here's What You'll Do


Develop and execute the B2B enterprise strategy including defining the targeted and customized value proposition/offering for each organization's needs, as well as the blueprint for implementation.


Complete a market scan to identify and prioritize key accounts across the region and lead the engagement plan on behalf of Moderna.


Identify the needs of each key customer and devise the customer engagement strategy in positioning Moderna as the partner of choice in enabling healthcare security through the vaccine offering and services.


Coordinate the appropriate Moderna functions and experts to craft a cohesive strategy and then enable/guide/lead the organization to implement for results.

Identify and form key partnerships required to successfully deliver the value proposition and business case.

Establish and execute key account strategy for each initial target (e.g., top 10 employers)

Leverage your network, rolodex and past partnership experience to access the C-suite of target companies


Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders in legal, finance, market access and pricing, business development, supply chain and logistics to leverage Moderna's capabilities.

Mid-long term, help to craft broader revenue and partnering opportunities as Moderna expands its product portfolio.

Here's What You'll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

15+ years of industry experience in key account or corporate account management or B2B sales

Experience building new ventures/partnering model within an organization to leverage their core product portfolio/services with a new customer segment

Experience developing and contracting partnerships with corporations in healthcare-related offerings (B2B)

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration or related

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

MBA or advanced degree preferred

Knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem and value chain

Has relationships with major corporations/Rolodex to C-suite

Understanding of how to navigate the corporate environment in B2B context

Knowledge of corporate accounts / partnerships and drivers of success

Innovative thinker and executor, that has implemented new business models that have driven commercial results

Understands key decision factors for corporate enterprise programs/partnerships

The ability to set clear, bold ambition and goals and himself / herself accountable in driving results.

Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations

Self-starter and able to work without day-to-day supervision
