Description
Our client is looking for a DevOps Engineer.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain and upgrade Continuous Integration/Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for our services
  • Maintain and upgrade automation required to improve code logistics from development to production
  • Assist developers in instrumenting code for system observability
  • Maintain and upgrade deployment platforms
  • Maintain system infrastructure with InfrastructureasCode tools
  • Perform system administration and IT duties

Key metrics
Your performance will be measured based on the four key metrics for DevOps:

  • Deployment frequency
  • Lead time for change
  • Change failure rate
  • Mean time to recovery

Qualifications

  • Have working experience with at least half of our stack or mínimally with similar technologies
  • Have 2+ years of experience in system administration or platform engineering (commonly known as DevOps)
  • Be obsessed with automation, preferring to automate over doing things manually
  • Have a good awareness of cybersecurity practices to keep the platform safe from bad actors
  • Adopt a proactive approach to system upgrades

Tech stack

Expertise and familiarity with the following languages:

  • Application: Python (Django), JavaScript/TypeScript )
  • Terraform (Digital Ocean, AWS)
  • Logging (ELK stack)
  • Observability (Prometheus/Grafana)
  • Gitlab CI
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes (Helm)
  • GitOps (Argo CD)
  • Infrastructure in Digital Ocean and AWS
