Role Summary:
Credit analyst for global bond portfolio.


Responsibilities:

In this role that you are about to embark on, you are required to carry out the following responsibilities:


  • Assist the lead portfolio manager by providing fundamental credit research into fixed income corporate (banks and industrials) securities for a global bond portfolio, constantly staying on top of sector development. This would also involve understanding company business models and industry dynamics, creating and maintaining financial models, and be able to identify value from both absolute and relative value analysis.
  • Provide updates on company results, including impact analysis on issuer's capital structure, and expected price impact on different parts of capital structure.
  • Be able to independently derive the necessary credit factors to determine the credit quality of the corporate and at times, provide written credit reports and to assist in the preparation of credit proposals for the Investment Committee.
  • Assist the lead portfolio manager in fund due diligence and outsource mandate review.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, it is recommended that you should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • At least 5years of experience in fundamental credit research working in asset management, sell side/buy side or credit rating agencies, with exposure to the global fixed income, corporate credits, interest rates and currency markets.
  • Degree of related discipline
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, experiences in conducting analysis
  • Strong Microsoft excel and powerpoint skills. Ability to handle macros & VBA an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Bloomberg an advantage.
  • Details oriented with good communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborative team player who takes initiative, and must be able to work independently.
  • Versatile skillset and mindset.
