Job Purpose:

The Assistant / Sales Manager will assist & support in the execution of sales activities which includes ensuring maximum tank occupancy, maintaining and developing customer database as well as working closely with logistics and/or the operations team with customer focus.

Your Tasks:

Maintain and grow business relations and opportunities with existing clients
Execution of sales strategies and actionable plans
Negotiate, conclude and administer new contracts and renew existing contract agreements, with guidance from the Sales Manager II and assistance from the Legal department
Support the Sales Manager II in monitoring competition closely by regularly reviewing customer portfolios, market prices and services, and updating key stakeholders on market developments through publications or contacts
Support the annual budget exercise on commercial budget / forecast and justify for any deviations
Ensure optimization of tank portfolio through gainful tank employment and/or new projects
Support the business feasibility study by working closely with internal departments on customer requirements

Your Profile:

Professional degree holder in Chemical, Mechanical Engineering and other relevant engineering field from a reputable University. Those with Finance & Accounting educational background will also be considered.
Minimum 5 years of marketing / commercial experience with the petrochemical, oil & gas industry
Competent in understanding/preparing commercial/business agreement, memo and report
Competent in market analytics and demonstrates good numeracy skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent negotiating skills with strong customer focus
Good technical knowledge in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas industry (e.g. mechanical, petrochemical knowledge)
