GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Responsible for second line function related to Operational Risk Management (ORM), including Business Continuity Management (BCM), Crisis Management (CM), Physical Security (PS) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), by providing objective review and challenge to ensure operational risks within the organization are adequately and effectively identified, assessed, and managed within the defined risk appetite.


MAIN DUTIES

  • Liaise with Business Units' (BU) Operational Risk Partners from the Bank's head office, branches, affiliates, representative offices, and subsidiaries, to develop effective working relationships to drive BCM, CM, PS and TPRM program initiatives, including:
  • Conduct briefings and trainings to raise awareness and capabilities.
  • Facilitate Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) documentation, Critical Business Service dependency mapping, desktop walkthrough, department/bankwide call tree exercises, recovery strategy tests, and annual attestation.
  • Support the Crisis Management Team and Global Incident Management Centre (GIMC) where applicable, to ensure adequate exercises and recovery of Critical Business Services and Functions.
  • Facilitate Physical Security assessments on office premises and head office building, including any ad hoc and prelease reviews.
  • Review service provider's outsourcing and thirdparty risks as BCM and PS functional specialist
  • Maintain and support bankwide BCM and PS documentation and reporting template with the use of technology to improve efficiency.
  • Manage reviews and updates of the BCM, CM and PS policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular updates and reporting to senior management and the Executive Risk Committee.
  • Keep abreast of regulatory and industry developments related to ORM.
  • Provide advisory on ORM related matters

Qualifications

  • Relevant working experience in risk and control related roles.
  • Familiar with ORM concepts such as BCM, CM, PS and/or TPRM in financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of related regulatory requirements, such as the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) Guidelines and Notices.
  • Understanding of the banking industry, including the business services, technology and operations.

Academic and professional qualifications:


  • University degree or equivalent, with major study in finance, accountancy, business and/or technology.
  • Minimum 6 years or more related work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including the use of Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

Language skills

  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Ability to communicate complex processes and issues in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate discussions, conduct trainings and presentations.
