Land Acquisition Manager - Singapore - Formative Search

Formative Search is working closely with a client who is a truly diversified energy giant, promoting the use of Renewable Energy.
Making the move to cleaner energy, they are providing all-in-one solutions to the development and construction of its renewable energy projects becoming the leading IPP globally with its solar, wind and hydro assets.
- In Asia, where the focus of this energy transition is taking place, they have engaged us on a search for a Land Acquisition Manager, based in the Philippines reporting to the Head of Business Development.
- Responsibilities:
- Acquiring, leasing, or partnering with project sites for renewable energy projects
- Management of all land agreements and associated documents
- Building relationships with landowners, the registry of deeds/land registration authority, local government and consultants etc.
- Securing transmission line right of way and easements up to the grid connection point
- Identifying and selecting sites for large scale renewable energy projects
- Assessing land acquisition risks and developing strategies to mitigate them
- Proactively handling and resolving issues
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law or other related field
- With 8 or more years of land acquisition experience and deep knowledge of land use conversion processes
- Having knowledge of acquiring property for wind and solar projects and a track record of closing deals
- Keeping up to date with land acquisition and leasing market
- Understanding of various contract and structure types related to land acquisition
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and contract negotiation skills
- Able to travel as required
