Deputy General Manager - Singapore - OKUMURA CORPORATION SINGAPORE BRANCH

Description

• This position reports to the Division Head in Japan
• Oversee daily business operations in Singapore Office
• Conduct indepth reviews and analysis of all project or contract documents so as to be familiar with every detail and/or requirements
• Assist in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of the company's relationship with contractors in a bid to produce strategic partnership
• Prepares and negotiates cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables
• Selects appropriate construction methods and strategies
• Plan human resource strategy
• Selects, hires, and instructs employees
• Assess eligible contractors & award project accordingly
• Lead, coordinate, prepare and compile bid submission documents in relation to tendering/bidding activities, Tender Questionnaires and Prequalifications (in liaison with Japan HQ)
• Developing and implementing growth strategies
• Evaluating performance and productivity
• Monitor & forecast cash flow and design strategies with Japan HQ
• Monitor all expenses & revenues and design strategies with Japan HQ
• Involve in financial audit for Singapore Branch
• Participate & prepare documents for ISO and Green & Gracious Builder Scheme Audit
• Attend weekly & monthly meeting with Japan HQ

• Proficiency in Japanese language is required to communicate with Japan HQ
• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Construction related studies
• At least 10 years experiences as a senior management role in construction industry
• Knowledge of civil engineering work

• Experiences in Civil Engineering Work specifically tunnel and tunnel boring machines
• Experienced in mergers and acquisitions (M&A)
