    Do you want to work within international trade to help some of the world's most forward-looking companies grow their activities in Singapore and South East Asia? If your answer is "yes", this is an opportunity to join a dynamic team at the Royal Danish Embassy in Singapore, and make an impact on advancing the global sustainability agenda.

    Your Role

    As a member of a small and dynamic team, you will have to be flexible, self-driven and show initiative.

    Working in an international and diplomatic setting, we expect you to work professionally and with an eye for detail.

    Your primary task is to assist Danish companies – SMEs and start-ups in particular – in entering or expanding their market presence in Singapore and South East Asia (SEA). You will work with a variety of activities, including first line of sales, lead generation, market analysis and entry strategies, partner and client research, R&D-collaborations, delegation and market visits, as well as event management and promotional activities. This will include some travel to Denmark.

    Together with Senior Trade Advisors, you will plan and prioritise business development and sales efforts across our focus sectors, in particular Maritime & Defence, to meet the joint regional earnings target, while focusing on always adding value for companies.

    • You have exposure & insights within the Maritime & Defence sectors


    • You have a high proficiency in English. Proficiency in Danish is a plus but not a requirement


    • You have a university degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field.


    • International experience is a plus, but not required.


    • You are in the beginning of your career, most likely with less than 5 years of experience.

    Who are we?

    As Denmark's official representation in Singapore, we advise and assist in a variety of areas, including commercial, cultural, press and consular affairs. We communicate and advocate on policy topics, societal values, and commercial strongholds of Denmark within climate solutions, digital innovation, food and agriculture, health, maritime, culture, arts as well as the Danish societal model.

    The Trade Council is a part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. We help small and medium-sized Danish enterprises foster innovation, build partnerships and expand their business activities within Singapore and Southeast Asia. Our strength lies in providing business insights and local knowledge to Danish companies. In Singapore, our priorities revolve around energy, maritime, environment, water, food, health, and technology.

    Employment conditions

    We offer a full-time employment on a local contract. The average working week is 40 hours with a large degree of flexibility in organizing your daily schedule. You are entitled to four weeks (20 days) of paid vacation per year and offered an attractive health insurance, which may be applicable to spouse/partner and children. Your salary will reflect qualifications.
