    Description

    We are looking for a passionate and caring Playgroup Assistant Teacher to support our lead teachers in providing a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. The successful candidate will assist in conducting fun and educational activities, encouraging social skills, and promoting cognitive and physical development.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for our playgroup.
    2. Support in the preparation of learning materials and classroom setup.
    3. Assist in the supervision of children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
    4. Help to maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
    5. Assist in observing and documenting children's behavior and progress, providing feedback to the Lead Teacher.
    6. Develop positive relationships with children, fostering a sense of belonging and fun.
    7. Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
    8. Comply with all licensing standards, as well as safety protocols and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    1. Minimum PSLE
    2. Experience working with young children in a formal setting is preferred.
    3. Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
    4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    5. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    6. Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
    7. Current First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
