If you are a Senior Transition & Operations Oversight Consultant (Independent/Freelance) looking for a new role where you can provide senior advisory oversight and guidance to support the establishment and transition of operations to a new location in Central America, with a primary focus on lift-and-shift activities and operational readiness, then this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide independent, senior-level advisory oversight during the setup and transition of operations.
• Offer guidance and perspective based on prior experience with comparable operational transitions and lift-and-shift initiatives., ideally in Central America.
• Review and challenge transition approach, governance, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
• Act as a sounding board for the client and delivery teams, supporting informed decision-making.
• Identify potential operational, organizational, and execution risks, and advise on mitigation strategies.
• Support key transition milestones and decision points through structured reviews and recommendations.
• Provide ad hoc advisory support on emerging operational or transition-related topics.
• Maintain a clear boundary between oversight/advisory responsibilities and day-to-day execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience in managing or overseeing operational transitions, including lift-and-shift initiatives.
• Strong background in operations setup, shared services, or offshore/nearshore transitions.
• Ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Solid understanding of transition governance, risk management, and operational stabilization.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and critical-thinking skills.
• Availability for a part-time freelance engagement (1 day/week), with flexibility for ad hoc support as required.

Start date is ASAP. Initial contract is 1 month with high chance of extension afterwards.
