    [What the role is]
    We are a close-knit, high-performing, and multi-disciplinary research division in Singapore Public Service. We are expanding and are recruiting a Senior/Research Specialist to work with a range of research initiatives in Singapore's social service sector. Specialising in longitudinal and birth cohort studies, our team conduct research in various areas ranging from family and child welfare; offending and rehabilitation; population studies; economic evaluation; quality of life, and organisational development and wellbeing.
    The Senior/Research Specialist will perform a crucial role in managing data-related tasks, analyses, and the dissemination of findings.
    We are looking for a team player who is self-driven and takes the initiative to engage with team members and multiple stakeholders; is creative and adaptive at operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; possess a growth mindset and is able to quickly learn and apply.

    [What you will be working on]

    Responsibilities
    1. Contribute to the development and implementation research projects.
    2. Extract, transform and load data from multiple-sources
    3. Conduct data analysis to address queries from stakeholders.
    4. Prepare and tailor research reports and publications for a range of stakeholders (e.g., academic experts, policy-makers, public).
    5. Manage research team in training of research assistants and supervising the collection of longitudinal data
    6. Undertake administrative tasks related to the research project.
    7. Organise research-related networking and dissemination activities (e.g., seminars, workshops, communities of practice).

    [What we are looking for]

    Personal Competencies:

    • Demonstrable experience in tailoring written communication to a diverse range of stakeholders


    • Strong project management and organisational skills. These include:
    - Work planning and time management,
    - Multi-tasking and working under time pressure from multiple stakeholders,
    - Communication skills,
    Working both independently and as a member of a team.

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Excellent in quantitative and/or qualitative research methods.


    • Proficient in the use of analytic software (e.g., SPSS, R, Mplus, Stata, etc).

    Experience:
    For the senior research specialist position, at least three years of research experience is required.

    • Experience in managing and/or leading research projects is a plus.
