Your role

Our major Oil & Energy (Downstream) Client is urgently looking for Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical) who will report to the Maintenance Team Lead at Pulau Bukom, Ethylene Cracker Plant. You will drive the day-to-day maintenance execution activities and execute the planned scheduled maintenance work with high expectations on safety and quality with the residential contractors. You will work closely with operation personnel, OMC and multi-disciplines engineers, planner, scheduler, and contractors on the plant related issues with compliance to ME process, work on a holistic execution plans and timely feedback on the status to the various stakeholders.

You will resolve the field execution related conflicts with various disciplines work parties and contractors, actively field supervision on the contractor's work quality and safety for meeting site Quality and HSSE requirements by envision toward an end to end follow up principles on the work assignments throughout the entire life cycles of maintenance executions process for the various stages from planning, preparations, job executions and GSAP close out.

You will provide nightshift support and executions on the plant shutdown work for the planned (PITSTOP) and unplanned (Ad-hoc Emergency) manner when required to ensure plant reliability and availability of the process equipment and meeting the business plans. You will work closely in coordination with various disciplines internal or external on deliverables of the executions plan and safe work executions on the maintenance activities with goal zero mindset and with superior work quality delivered.

You need to have strong project management, execution and interpersonal skills, and the key driver to the multi-disciplines work crews in resolving conflicts on the work planning, resources, logistic and materials issues related to maintenance execution. You will plan and execute minor MOC project with high deliverable on safety, quality, and compliance to company policy. You will streamline the work processes and actively look out for continue improvement opportunities in running the maintenance and shutdown activities with optimum cost saving, safety, and quality. To achieve and maintain the established Game ME processes requirements and actively close the gaps by maximizing planning and resources management, you will provide timely feedback on the work status to the scheduler and stakeholders, coordinate the discovery plan change with compliance to ME processes and timely update the GSAP work order status throughout the Game ME life cycles.

You are what we are looking for if you:

• Have Degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical) with minimum 3 years of relevant Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical and Chemical Industry Experiences in Maintenance execution OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years and good on hand experiences in engineering/maintenance of rotating & static equipment (experience in oil and gas industry is preferred) can also be considered
• Have good understanding of the various international mechanical engineering standards
• Have strong experience in Project, Maintenance and Turnaround areas will also be considered
• Have strong interpersonal, coordination, planning skills and are fluent in English and business software (MS office, Autocad / 3D model GSAP &P6) will be added advantage
• Have good hand on experiences and able to lead the team in equipment troubleshooting on the process related equipment and strong foundation and understanding on the valve operation and maintenance skill and able to perform troubleshooting on isolation issue
• Able to work flexible and adapt to project schedule (Able to work extended hours, night work assignment and weekend duty base on the work requirements)
• Able to work well with a large group of diverse ethnic background people and disciplines.
