Work as Senior Database Administrator

Handle server/storage provisioning & managing New DB onboarding.
Planning/ Performing/Managing DB migration, DB upgradation, Quarterly PSU Patching on DB and OEM
Configurations and maintaining OEM and OID.
Perform/Manage Oracle database administration tasks include configuration management, backup/recovery, Physical Standby configuration, performance optimization & OEM target/jobs/matrices configuration and management.
Production/Non-Prod database administration support and monitoring to ensure a proactive problem recognition and resolution of database issues.
Managing Incidents within SLAs & Change orders and aligning resources for CA/COs.
Configuring/managing/Planning Single Instance, RAC and RAC
One node.
Cloning Database from Production to Testing Environment using rman/exdp/impdp/exp/imp.
Performing activities like Maintenance downtime, Backup and Recovery Using RMAN backups.
DR test using Standby activate & SAN replication.
Troubleshoot database related problems as and when required by App Team & DBA.
Configuring & managing new User creation and implementing Database security like roles, privs, profiles.
Also give consultation to development teams for Query Optimization & performance related issues.
Restore/cloning of DB from prod to nonprod or nonprod to prod.
Troubleshooting/ providing supports to the developers or app owners.
Patching, Upgrade and Migration of databases.
Monitoring Database and OS server using Toad-Spotlight.
Managing Live table backup to Backup tables as per policy.
Managing packages, procedures and functions as per changes provided by developers and compiling.
Checking Alert logs and taking recommended action in case of errors found.
Testing backup files by importing on test at per policy.
Generating reports and making scripts for reports as per requirement by client.
Maintaining Archive logs and their space for routine administration alert and trace monitoring.
Monitored the different memory structures such as shared pool, data dictionary cache, library cache, and buffer cache.
Configuration of listener, sqlnet and tnsnames on server as well as Client side and resolving all other connectivity issues.
Managing Control files like adding, recreating and tracing to physical locations and tracing backup.
Cloning the databases for making the respective instance for testing.

Physical Standby database Configuration and maintenance using Data Guard.
Responsible for refreshing and cloning of databases per customer requirements using RMAN, BRTools, and hot backup scripts.
Backup configuration with EMC Legato using BRTools.
Installation, configuration and administration of Oracle 11g Databases on Aix and Windows
Data guard Health whether the standby database is in sync with primary.
Taking hot and cold backups and ensuring that they are useful for future recoveries.
Backup and recovery using RMAN, export and import utilities.
Configured TNSNAMES.ORA and LISTENER.ORA for SQL*NET connectivity.
Developed PL/SQL programs (Functions, Procedures, Packages and Triggers).
ASM disk rebalancing, adding and deleting them as per the standards.
Data guard switchover using data guard broker and manually.
