- Lead highimpact legal work across global markets.
- Work directly with frontoffice teams on complex trading and financing.
- Advisory Support: Offer legal guidance to trading and financing teams, with emphasis on assetbacked lending, commodities (both derivatives and physical), and general coverage across FX, interest rate, and bondrelated matters.
- Transaction Documentation: Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial and trading agreements, ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and risk considerations.
- Structuring & Strategy: Partner with business units on transaction structuring, considering regulatory, compliance, reputational, and riskmanagement implications.
- External Counsel Management: Oversee interactions with outside legal advisors and ensure that appropriate opinions, protections, and duediligence standards are met.
- Trading Floor Support: Work directly with sales and trading teams to address legal issues arising out of daytoday market activities.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Track, interpret, and implement regulatory developments affecting fixed income and commodities markets, including financial and physical commodity activity and mortgagerelated businesses.
- CrossFunctional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal groups such as legal colleagues, risk functions, treasury, compliance, operations, tax, and finance to resolve crosscutting issues.
- New Business Review: Contribute to assessments of new products, initiatives, and market entry proposals.
- Minimum 6 years of postqualification experience, qualified in Singapore or the any other commonwealth countries.
- Strong foundation in financing transactions, commodities, and securities regulation.
- Proven ability to engage as a proactive legal adviser and operate confidently with senior business stakeholders.
- Strong legal judgement and excellent communication, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Experience gained at a reputable international law firm or an inhouse legal department.
