About the Team:

Shopee Paid ads team was established in 2016 to provide an ecommerce advertising platform by relying on Shopee's massive data. Our expertise covers data, high performance AIbased online services, distributed systems, machine learning algorithms, and ads business strategies. The team places a strong emphasis on technology and strives to achieve innovation.
Optimizing existing recall, preranking, ranking, reranking modules in our large scale ads system, and continuously improve ads quality
Iterate ads core models, including but not limited to CTR/CVR, expand and optimize feature set, search and create new model architecture
Based on ads bidding and delivering data mining, optimize ads bidding, billing, and traffic allocation strategies, create better ads bidding mechanism and increase ads monetization efficiency
Follow the newest research in search, recommendation and ads, pick those work applicable to ads, adapt the strategies to our platform and implement them in our production system
Communicate with business team and product managers to understand business requirements, lead team members in tech design and implementation to fulfill core business requirements
Build and maintain team's documentations, and promote a healthy knowledge sharing culture within the team
Continuously enhance our ads platform, to innovate and create new ways to improve ads quality and monetisation

Requirements:

5+ years of relevant industry experience with solid computer science foundation
Familiar with at least one of the following programming languages, C++/golang/Python, good knowledge of data structure and algorithm
Deep understanding of machine learning and deep learning theory, publications in machine learning and data mining or related conferences is a bonus
Have experience developing large scale ads platforms, including but not limited to CTR/CVR modeling, use profiling, bidding mechanism, delivering optimisation etc.
Sensitive to data and business, passionate about technical challenges, have excellent critical thinking skills, able to innovate and drive projects independently
Familiar with big data processing tools, have experience in Hadoop, Spark, Hive and Flink etc.
Good at crossteam communications and can lead project independently
