    Roles & Responsibilities

    As a Video Editor at The Travel Intern, you will work closely with the creative team to ensure that the final product meets the creative vision for the project. Your main responsibilities include assembling, editing, and producing content in formats of short and long-form videos for the company's social channels and platforms.

    Full-time and Freelance (one-month contract) positions available.

    Responsibilities & Expectations

    1) Review and select raw footage

    • Identify the best shots to tell the story most engagingly and effectively as possible

    2) Edit videos

    • Utilise desktop video editing software to edit videos following the brief and deadlines.
    • Edit videos in a compelling and coherent sequence. Refine pacing, colour correction, sound design, apply transitions and effects.
    • Maintain an organised editing timeline to facilitate efficiency and editing across multiple video editors

    3) Collaborate with the creative team

    • Work closely with the creative team, including directors, producers, and writers, to ensure that the final product meets the creative vision for the project.
    • Ensure that the final product is relevant and engaging by staying current with the latest trends in video production, including new software, techniques, and styles.4) Stay up-to-date with industry trends

    Requirements

    • 2-3 years of working experience as a Video Editor, Video Specialist or similar roles
    • Proficient in video editing software (i.e. Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere Pro, After Effects Photoshop, Davinci Resolve, etc.)
    • A keen eye for detail and a critical mind
    • Creativity and passion in film and video editing
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills
    • Great interpersonal and communication skills
