Role Summary:
The main purpose of an Operations Assistant is to support the efforts of the team's Brokers.
Your role will include providing operational support to the Futures Brokers, financial assessments, answering telephone calls and entering trades into the relevant exchanges and system.
What you will be doing:
- Liaising between Brokers, customers and the Compliance department to assist in the onboarding process
- Timely entry of trades into relevant exchanges
- Entry of trades into inhouse trade capture and invoicing systems
- Creation of internal and external reports
- Ensuring timely payment of invoices
- Miscellaneous administrative tasks
What we are looking for:
Key Attributes:
- 1 to 2 years' Operations experience or Commodities Trading administration experience is preferred, but is not essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Basic understanding of commercial and trading contract terms
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
- Good telephone manner and strong communication skills are essential
- Meticulous, wellorganised and handson
- Flexible and positive attitude
- Strong team player who is able to work independently
- Able to work from 8.30am to 6pm, Mondays to Fridays
