    Roles & Responsibilities

    Purpose of Job

    The Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of hard services and equipment managed by the IFM. He/she shall provide engineering support to the FM Service Manager and Senior Engineer in planning, organising and controlling the hard services and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

    This role is responsible for:

    • Managing day to day operations of hard services and equipment
    • Supervise a team of technicians in daily activities
    • Provide support and advice on technical issues
    • Data integrity lead for IFM team and conduct Gemba walk accordingly
    • To conduct GMP training for Sodexo sub-contractors. – Training materials from GSK
    • Ensuring all work are in accordance to GSK HSE requirements
    • Ensuring all trainings to be conducted by the sodexo engineering team are up to date

    Job Responsibilities

    · Manage team of technicians to operate and maintain hard services and equipment efficiently and safely

    · Plan and implement of preventive and predictive maintenance program for hard services and all related scope of works are performed in accordance to the standards required by GSK and Sodexo

    · Ensuring compliances on statutory and mandatory requirements by the local authority, GSK and Sodexo are met

    · Manage performance of external service providers to meet service level agreement

    · Lead the team to generate improvement ideas. Collaborate with client to develop and implement projects.

    · Lead and create conducive environment for the team comply to client HSE, Quality and Training requirements

    · Provide technical expertise and engineering consultations to site team

    · Maintain accurate operation, maintenance and finance records

    · Achieve cost saving as specified in contract

    · Manage prudent spending on annual operation and maintenance budget

    · Track key performance indicators to meet targets as specified in contract

    · Work with cross functional team to resolve complex problems with potential impact to business continuity and able to make rapid rational decisions.

    · Identify and provide trainings to enhance core competency of team

    · Maintain cordial work relationship with client

    · Identify pull through opportunities for Sodexo services and systems

    · Manage site procurement activities in accordance to Sodexo BOS

    · Manage site financial activities in accordance to Sodexo BOS

    · Trouble-shoot and take corrective action for hard services and equipment failures / breakdowns in order to minimise production downtime. This refers to more serious / repetitive problems

    · Update and approve compliance-related documentation, including SOP, Job Aids, PM, CM, PMCR and GMP Log sheets.

    · Lead and support incident, event, deviation and atypical investigations and action plan completion.

    · Ensure all required actions are effectively implemented within the agreed time frame to prevent recurrence.

    · Supports Facilities Manager to execute activities to meet production, cost effectiveness and equipment efficiency improvement initiatives.

    · Supports all Continuous Improvement initiatives at site.

    · Supports daily walk-through to ensure hard services and equipment readiness, assists team to identify issues, recommend and implement solutions.

    · Implement solutions to improve asset utilization and energy consumption.

    · Ensure all work and job orders are timely and accurately executed.

    · Plan, schedule and execute CM maintenance for Facilities and site infrastructure.

    · Co-ordinate with vendors, contractors, and GSK resources to execute PM and CM activities

    · Continuously improves, simplifies, and optimizes documentation.

    · Implement assigned corrective actions as documented following regulatory inspections and internal audits

    · Demonstrate and promote HSE leadership behaviour and engage employees at all levels on HSE issues

    · Supports required risk assessments, including hazarodus operations, and ensures they are carried out in a timely manner, recommendations provided, and implemented as agreed

    · Conduct Safety walk and ensure compliance always by site team and sub-contractors

    · Promote a culture of continuous learning and identifies opportunities to multi skill technicians.

    · Maintain positive working relationships among employees and fosters an environment where employee engagement, empowerment, teamwork and accountability are the cultural norm.

    · Provide effective, regular and timely communication to the team and ensure that continuous feedback is given to support team performance.

    · Reviewing all CMMS systems records are updated in accordance to quality requirements

    · Any other tasks as and when assigned by superior.

    Requirements

    · Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related subjects

    · Minimum 5 years related experience in the pharmaceuticals industry.

    · Sound working knowledge on major M&E system (eg. Transformers, HVAC, Switchgears, motor, etc.)

    · Must be conversant with Maintenance Strategy & CGMP principles and statutory requirements
