Description

Member of Infra-Systems Team to manage Platform Infrastructure services

Contribute to Engineering solutions based on Customer's requirements.
Must have backup experience with Backup products
Rubrik, Avamar & Veeam.
Must have storage experience with Storage products
HPe( Both SAN & NAS), EMC( Both SAN & NAS).
Must have Virtualization experience with Virtualization
Hardware Cisco UCS, Vmware, Nutanix.
Work with Project team to prepare project scope and troubleshooting of backup jobs on platforms (SQL Server, Windows, VMware, and Linux servers).
Perform consultation for new and existing projects related to backup and storage needs
Resolve Level 3 support cases on backup infrastructure platform.
Escalate to the relevant team as required, promptly following procedures, and ensuring management is updated accordingly.
Raise Change Requests in a timely manner and attend Change Review Meetings as required.

Provide detailed feedback to team members on all the incident resolutions, ensuring full details are documented and entered Knowledge base

Daily review and action of open cases; updating Operations Management on current cases and their status as appropriate.

Compliance

Working with Client base to organize and schedule compliance items such as hardware and software updates including firmware revisions and OS and Sub-Systems patching.
Analyze backup software performance and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures
Configure backup policy for new backup clients.
Identify, research, and resolve technical problems
Manage backup policy changes through the change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.
Involve in project team for backup requirements and provide progress status update on a weekly basis.
Respond promptly to incidents, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
Manage and support backup platform, including vulnerability remediation, capacity management, configuration management, provisioning and overall maintenance.
Monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the systems.
Ensure service levels meet requirements. Propose and implement action plan when required.
Expected to work during offpeak hours on critical system activities (e.g. patching, upgrade, DC maintenance, BCP/DR drill and actual, production incidents)
Be able to effectively operate within set guidelines, policies, procedures, and able to execute instructions with mínimal supervision
24x7 support during project cutover time.
Knowledge of ITIL v3 and Intermediate topics is preferred. Certified in ITIL would be a benefit
