    A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Senior Manager, Service Sales Asia like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team. You will be responsible for the After Sales Support of all MTU engines and sales of service products in Asia for all assigned applications. This role will also demand a candidate who is agile and flexible, and you will be expected to deliver on ad-hoc projects with regional travel expected from time to time.

    Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

    Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible to achieve the service sales revenue and contribution margin target for Asia Region.
  • Periodic reporting and planning of the service revenue and lead-to-order activities/projects to observe any variance and highlight any abnormalities/risks promptly so that corrective measures are adopted.
  • Develop and drive strategic growth initiatives with other departments, distributors, partners, and subsidiaries for potential sales pipeline.
  • Maintenance of market data based with regular update of important data such as market trend, sales figures, engine installed based, etc. for objective evaluation on after sales business growth considerations, planning and make recommendation to grow the service business.
  • Analyze after sales market potential, with focus on installed base penetration and promote value add service product offerings supporting Life Cycle Management and Value Care Agreement.
  • Establish long term customer relationship with key customers and decision makers by understanding the requirements, regulations and exhibiting high expertise in technical solutions and products. Ensure customer satisfaction issues are registered and responded to by team.
  • Lead and develop the Service Sales team to achieve the sales targets and ensure succession plan for the dept. Support the team by participating in sales activities as needed. Involve in negotiation of major contracts.
  • Drive sales efficiency by ensuring adequate selling skills for service sales team members and that the area of responsibility is properly organized and staffed. Coach the team in formulating sales plans, in negotiating and in developing customer segment expertise.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders in decision of prices, discounts and commercials for subsidiaries, customers, and distributors.
  • Participate in conferences, fairs, special customer events and marketing campaigns.
  • Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree/Diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics Management, or other related studies
  • Strong Leadership experience with strategic and entrepreneur mindset
  • People manager experience with good internal personal skills and ability to inspire, guide, motivate and engage the team to scale greater heights
  • Relevant regional experience (APAC – market, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia) and understanding of the market and culture within the region.
  • Relevant experience in Marine, Industrial, Governmental, Defence, Machinery, O&Gas
  • 70% in service sales 30% in supporting logistics operations, eye for details a plus point especially in vetting contracts clauses
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders with good coordination, influential and communication skills.
