    Responsibilities:

    You'll apply your knowledge, skills, and passion to make a difference in the lives of people, solving complex challenges related to pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health research and manufacturing facilities. We're looking for an experienced, creative Senior Electrical Engineer, recognized for technical expertise, to work independently on various design projects concurrently. Responsibility will include oversight of the entire design process or assisting as a technical expert on a specialized design.

    As an experienced electrical you'll assess the requirements of a project, break it into tasks, and work with a Project Manager to determine the scope of work, budget, and staffing. After assigning work to the project team, you'll regularly review their progress and alert the PM to any changes in scope. Maintaining quality in accordance with company production and design standards is critical.

    Based in Singapore, you will research design options and write electrical design scopes of work based on preliminary reviews and meetings with clients. You'll also prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems and analyze the operation of existing systems. Some drawings you'll create yourself, and other sketches will be incorporated into drawings by drafters. You may create specialized drawings such as electrical riser diagrams. Knowledge of local codes and industry-standard equipment and the ability to specify it for proper applications is important. You'll also do estimating, review contractor

    applications for payments, review construction budgets, and coordinate document completion.

You'll build strong relationships with internal design teams and external clients as you work to provide solutions, all while building life-impacting facilities.

    Qualifications:


    • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year College or University.

    • Experience with the design of building electrical systems, such as: building service, power distribution, generators, lighting, fire alarm, security, and other low voltage systems.

    • 10+ years of Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Nutraceutical, or Life Science industry experience.

    • Experience in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting (ETAP /DiLux /AutoCAD /Revit).

    • Good English communication skills.

    • Chinese communication skills preferred, but not mandatory.

    Preferred Qualifications


    • Professional electrical design experience from feasibility and conceptual design through final commissioning and closeout.

    • Experience with High Voltage, medium voltage systems, Low voltage, electrical generation and distribution systems, electrical hazardous classified areas, and ELV system such as, Fire alarm PAGA, CCTV, Access control, data & telecommunications systems.

    • Strong understanding of the IEEE, IEC, NFPA 72, Singapore Local SP code.
