    Roles & Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Be a support to the Director of Business Travel in training programs to improve sales efficiency and staff development. Ensure regular enhanced job and product knowledge through regular updates and site visits. To ensure that the Sales team is able to imbibe, articulate and communicate with flair, the overall ethos of the product and service.
    • Assist the Director of Business Travel in directing the activities of the proactive team when required. Be the second person accountable of the overall successful functioning and create a dynamic and result orientated team which continuing to embrace the practices of LQE both in terms of internal and external orientation.
    • Coaches, mentors and gives feedback to the Business Travel Team for better improvement.
    • Identifies new or existing markets/accounts that meet hotel's sales strategy. Feeds Director of Business Travel with new entrants, trends and opportunities which could further enhance the potential for the hotel.
    • Is accountable for the targets and goals set in his/her area of responsibility; as well as in guiding the team towards achieving theirs.
    • Understands and is familiar with the fundamentals of assigned accounts. Ensures through personal intervention that the account managers and decision makers, bookers and product managers are aligned and in constant touch and exposed to the hotel. Personal visits regularly to the various accounts in order to further cement relationships.
    • Assist to drives/manages Business Travel team production and ensuring increased customer loyalty.
    • Assist to manage and leads Business Travel team by monitoring prospective new business through phone solicitation, outside calls, customer visits to hotel, trade shows, sales blitzes, direct mail, newspaper/journal research and other customer interaction or research.
    • Develops marketing intelligence: new product ideas, competition activities, new customer trends and performance.
    • Spends majority of time in face-to face customer interactions outside of the hotel with team and for assigned special accounts.
    • To attend group pace meeting and yield meeting, and be an active participant.
    • To manage Delphi, PSMS and other technological tools which are used for performance monitoring
    • Will ensure benchmark creative practices for site inspections
    • Will work and initiate marketing and communication initiatives to entice business at appropriate times and in appropriate markets
    • Will ensure that the Director of Business Travel, DOSM and GM are introduced to corporate movers and important city elite.
    • Will be a contributor in preparing the Annual Budget and Marketing plan.
    • May be required to travel from time to time.
    • Lead by action and setting exemplary example for team to follow.
    • Abide by the hotel's grooming standards to project the luxury image of the brand.
